Wedding Careers Institute, Inc., headquartered in Houston, Texas announces today two new appointments as certified instructors for the WCII International Consultants Training Program. Mrs. Amy Mader, president of Platinum Weddings & Events, in Austin, Texas and Mrs. Lisa Bauer, president of I Deux Weddings, in Dallas, Texas, join the prestigious team of international instructors chosen to provide training and certification for wedding and event professionals.
Mader's wealth of experience spans 15 years with extensive knowledge of the bridal industry, including purchasing, retailing and all aspects relative to the efficient day-to-day management of the largest bridal salon in Southwestern Wisconsin. In addition, she was responsible for wedding day coordination services of multiple weddings in the La Crosse area.
Mader graduated from the University of Wisconsin in La Crosse with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Following graduation, she and her husband relocated to Austin, Texas where Mader managed Adrian's Bridal Salon. After six months, she established her own consulting firm, Platinum Weddings & Events and has become a benchmark for consultants in the Central Texas region. Mader is the founder and past president of AWEC, Austin Wedding and Event Coordinators. Mader is certified through Wedding Careers Institute, Inc. and Weddings Beautiful and an active member of the Wedding Careers Worldwide Association.
She has designed and coordinated upscale and celebrity weddings throughout the Austin area since 1997, and has been instrumental in the education and growth of the Austin wedding industry. Mader has been published in The Bridal Guide magazine and offers her expertise on a regular basis. She is an active community leader and volunteers her time on the board of the Moore-Weiss Children's Center for autistic children. Amy lives in Austin with her husband Matthew, Vice President of JM Technology Solutions, Inc. and their son Noah.
